My Story

The Work

I believe the best infrastructure is almost invisible. When deployments are predictable, monitoring detects problems before users notice them, security is built into every layer, and recovery is continuously tested, engineering teams can spend their time creating products instead of managing complexity.

Throughout my career, I've designed and operated enterprise platforms supporting organizations across Africa, leading teams responsible for Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure, DevSecOps, automation, observability, enterprise networking, and security. My work has ranged from modernizing legacy infrastructure to building cloud-native platforms that improve developer productivity while meeting demanding security and compliance requirements, including PCI-DSS.

My passion lies in Platform Engineering—creating internal platforms that make software delivery faster, safer, and more reliable. I enjoy solving difficult infrastructure problems, automating repetitive work, and designing systems that continue performing as they grow from a handful of services to large, mission-critical environments.

Away from the Keyboard

Apart from my day job, I am intrigued by cutting-edge technology and love researching ways in which such technologies could solve real-life issues. Some of the areas that interest me at the moment are AI agents, RAG, MCP, AIOps, and Intelligent Automation. I am especially interested in using artificial intelligence to improve the reliability, observability, incident management, and the developer experience.

Once in a while, you might find me buried in either a technical deep dive, a GitHub repository, or even an academic paper – for much longer than I had initially anticipated.

Away from my keyboard, I love hanging out with my family and friends, going outside, and being amidst nature.

My Philosophy

Build platforms that are secure, reliable, observable, and effortless to use — so developers can focus on creating great software instead of managing infrastructure.
